Artscape announced today the appointment of Natasha Mytnowych as the inaugural Managing Director of Artscape Youngplace, effective May 27, 2013. Natasha will be responsible for the overall management and implementation of the vision of this vibrant new cultural centre located at Queen Street West and Shaw Street. Once the facility opens in Fall 2013, it will become the largest cultural institution in West Queen West and Artscape’s fourth building in the neighbourhood.

We’re more than halfway through a $15-million renovation to repurpose the historic Shaw Street School into Artscape Youngplace. Timeraiser is a unique event that connects volunteers with non-profit organizations through speed dating-style introductions followed by a silent art auction—but instead of money, volunteers bid their time and skills.
